Made-to-measure red back-painted glass splashbacks and cooker hood splashbacks

Made-to-measure red splashbacks and cooker hood splashbacks
Bright red, carmine, burgundy or brick: a red splashback gives the kitchen character at first glance. Red back-painted glass is toughened glass painted on the back, on the wall side; seen through the glass, the red keeps a depth and brilliance that no wall paint can match.
Choose a red splashback running the full length of the worktop or simply a red cooker hood splashback behind the hob: each panel is cut to the millimetre, sockets and holes included.
- Shades: reds from the RAL, NCS and Pantone charts

Red cooker hood splashback: a splash of colour behind the hob
A red cooker hood splashback concentrates the colour where the eye naturally falls: between the hob and the extractor hood. A size of 60 or 90 cm wide by 60 to 75 cm high is enough to create a focal point without overwhelming the room. In 6 mm toughened glass, it withstands the heat of induction, ceramic and gas hobs, at least 10 cm from the flame.
Made-to-measure red kitchen splashbacks
Red is a vibrant colour that brings a warm, on-trend note to your kitchen. To protect the walls around the worktop, you need a strong, heat-resistant material: a red back-painted glass splashback meets these requirements and works both as a cooker hood splashback and as a decorative feature, practical and attractive at the same time.
Why choose our red back-painted glass kitchen splashback?
Our red toughened glass splashbacks withstand the heat of hobs: toughened glass can take a temperature difference of around 200 °C without deteriorating. The paint, applied to the back of the glass, is also heat-resistant: the colours do not fade and stay vibrant. Thanks to its smooth surface, a red splashback is easy to clean and needs no special care.
For your safety, all our back-painted glass panels are supplied with an anti-shatter film on the back, which must not be removed.
Design your made-to-measure back-painted glass splashback
Design your red kitchen splashback yourself: choose the shape, length, height and thickness. For a red cooker hood splashback fitted behind a cooking appliance, a minimum thickness of 6 mm is required; for a worktop, allow at least 12 mm. Then add the cut-outs you need to fit around a power socket, a switch or a spotlight, followed by the corner shape and the glass finish, gloss or matt.
Red comes in many shades to create a unique atmosphere. Here is a selection of possible shades for your red back-painted glass:
amaranth, burgundy, brick, cherry, coral, scarlet, strawberry, raspberry, fuchsia, grenadine, garnet, incarnadine, magenta, nacarat, red ochre, Burgundy red, nasturtium red, cardinal red, carmine red, poppy red, Falun red, crayfish red, fire red, redcurrant red, ponceau red, ruby red, blood red, tomato red, terracotta tile red, vermilion red, rust, oxblood, terracotta, vermeil.
Choose your shade from the RAL, NCS or Pantone charts and preview it before confirming: the configurator displays the reds directly.

Frequently asked questions about red splashbacks and cooker hood splashbacks
Which red should I choose for a kitchen splashback?
A bright red such as RAL 3020 or RAL 3000 makes the kitchen dynamic and graphic, ideal with white or black unit doors. Deep reds, burgundy or wine red RAL 3005, are warmer and go well with wood. Brick, terracotta tile and terracotta suit country-style kitchens.
Can a red cooker hood splashback be used with a gas hob?
Yes. 6 mm toughened glass withstands a temperature difference of around 200 °C and the red paint, protected by the glass, does not blister. With gas, leave 10 to 15 cm between the burners and the red cooker hood splashback; with induction, no particular distance is required.
Why low-iron glass for red back-painted glass?
Standard clear glass is slightly green: behind it, a bright red turns brownish. Low-iron glass, almost colourless, renders a pure red, true to the colour chart. For a very dark burgundy, the difference becomes slight.
What goes with a red splashback?
Red pairs with white for a crisp contrast, with anthracite grey for an industrial style and with light wood for a warm atmosphere. Keep other bright colours to a minimum so that the splashback remains the kitchen's statement feature.
Does the red splashback comply with a standard?
The glass is thermally toughened to European standard EN 12150: if it breaks, it shatters into small, blunt fragments, held by the film bonded to the back of the red paint. Painted glass for interior use falls under standard EN 16477.
Does red fade over time?
No: the paint is applied to the back of the glass and is not subject to rubbing or cleaning products. Shielded from direct light by the glass, a red splashback keeps its intensity; only outdoor use, which this product is not designed for, would expose it to UV.
