Blue back-painted glass splashbacks and cooker hood splashbacks

Blue splashbacks and cooker hood splashbacks
From midnight blue to sky blue, by way of petrol and teal, a blue splashback brings calm and depth to the kitchen. Blue back-painted glass is painted on the back of toughened glass: the colour stays protected and keeps a deep sheen, as if under varnish.
For a more subtle touch, a blue cooker hood splashback behind the hob is enough to set the tone. Dimensions, sockets and holes are made to your specifications.

Blue cooker hood splashback behind the hob
A midnight blue or petrol blue cooker hood splashback defines the cooking area and shows off a stainless steel or black extractor hood. Choose its width to match the hob, usually 60 or 90 cm, and a height of 60 to 75 cm. Toughened glass is suitable for all hob types; with gas, keep at least 10 cm between the flame and the glass.
Made-to-measure blue glass kitchen splashbacks
Protect your kitchen walls with our blue back-painted glass splashbacks, a material that is both stylish and hard-wearing. Made from toughened glass, our made-to-measure blue splashbacks withstand the heat of hobs.

azure blue, light blue, slate blue, celestial blue, wagon blue, sky blue, cobalt blue, denim blue, glacier blue, navy blue, Maya blue, mineral blue, midnight blue, lagoon blue, petrol blue, royal blue, teal blue, indigo blue, turquoise blue, cyan.
Blue back-painted glass is also used to protect and decorate your furniture.
Why choose our blue back-painted glass splashback?
The made-to-measure splashbacks we offer are made of toughened glass. This heat treatment makes the glass around five times more impact-resistant than ordinary glass and allows it to withstand a temperature difference of around 200 °C. The blue paint is applied to the back of each panel, then covered with a protective anti-shatter film. A back-painted glass splashback is therefore ideal for decorating your kitchen and covering the wall behind the hob.
Design your made-to-measure back-painted glass kitchen splashback
Choose the thickness of your blue back-painted glass according to your needs, bearing in mind that a splashback placed behind a hob must be at least 6 mm thick. Then select clear or low-iron glass, a gloss or matt (frosted) finish, the dimensions, the position of the cut-outs and the corner shape, for a result that suits your kitchen.
Finally, choose your shade of blue from the RAL, NCS or Pantone charts: sky blue, navy blue, dark blue or petrol blue. The colours displayed on the site may vary depending on your screen settings.

Frequently asked questions about blue splashbacks and cooker hood splashbacks
Which blue should I choose for a kitchen splashback?
Midnight blue and navy blue make for an elegant kitchen, especially with brass or light wood. Petrol blue and teal, both very popular, have character without dominating. A pastel blue such as RAL 5024 visually enlarges a small kitchen.
Is blue back-painted glass suitable as a cooker hood splashback?
Yes, the blue cooker hood splashback is made of 6 mm toughened glass, suitable for all hob types. The colour, painted on the back, is not exposed to direct heat; with gas, keep 10 to 15 cm between the flame and the glass.
What colours go with a blue splashback?
Blue pairs with white for a fresh kitchen, with oak for warmth, and with grey or black for a graphic style. A touch of mustard yellow or copper creates a warm contrast that makes the blue stand out.
Does clear glass change the blue colour?
Slightly: its green tint shifts light blues and turquoise towards green. Low-iron glass, almost colourless, keeps the blue true to the colour chart. On midnight or navy blue, the difference is barely visible.
What standard applies to blue back-painted glass?
The base is a toughened safety glass conforming to standard EN 12150, around five times stronger than ordinary glass. Painted glass for interior use is covered by standard EN 16477; a safety film is applied to the back.
Does a dark blue splashback show marks?
A very dark gloss blue shows drips and fingerprints more than a mid blue. The matt finish, on frosted glass, reduces them considerably. Wiping with a dry microfibre cloth after cleaning prevents smears.
