Made-to-measure toughened granite-textured patterned glass 200

Toughened granite-textured glass, cut to your measurements
Patterned glass 200, also known as granite-textured glass or G200, is a translucent glazing for indoor use. One of its faces has a fine granite-like texture, slightly grainy to the touch: light passes through, but shapes are blurred. It preserves privacy while keeping a room bright.
Plakglass cuts it to your dimensions, finishes the edges and holes, then toughens it: toughened granite-textured glass is around five times more impact-resistant than ordinary glass.

More discreet than clear glass and more textured than frosted glass, granite-textured glass hides water marks and fingerprints and is suitable for heavily used rooms.
What thickness of granite-textured glass should I choose?
- 4 mm: furniture door, display cabinet, small interior pane.
- 6 mm: door pane, interior window, glass partition.
- 8 mm: shower screen, partition, standard-size glass door.
- 10 mm: large screens and large glass doors.
All thicknesses of patterned glass 200 can be selected in the configurator, with the price calculated instantly.

Frequently asked questions about patterned glass 200
What is patterned glass 200?
It is a clear glass with a regular granite-like texture on one face, produced when the glass is rolled. Translucent, it lets light through but blurs shapes. It is also known as granite-textured glass 200 or G200.
Is granite-textured glass opaque?
No, it is translucent: plenty of light passes through it, but only blurred silhouettes can be made out. This is what makes it a popular glazing for bathrooms and interior doors.
What thickness should I choose for a granite-textured glass shower screen?
8 mm is the most common thickness for a shower screen; 10 mm is suitable for large screens. For a door pane or an interior window, 6 mm is enough, and 4 mm for a furniture door.
Which way round should the textured face go?
In a shower, preferably place the smooth face on the water side: it is easier to clean. For a door or a partition, the textured face is generally fitted on the side of the room that is less exposed to dirt.
How do I look after patterned glass 200?
A glass cleaner or soapy water and a microfibre cloth are all you need. On the textured face, a soft brush helps remove deposits from the texture. Avoid abrasive products.
Can granite-textured glass be drilled or recut after delivery?
No: once toughened, the glass can no longer be worked. Holes, notches and cut-outs are positioned in the configurator and made before toughening.
Which standard does toughened patterned glass 200 meet?
It is toughened to European standard EN 12150: around five times stronger than ordinary glass, it shatters into small, blunt pieces if it breaks. It must not be used where there is a risk of falling: laminated glass is required in that case.
